Board, Blocks, and the Goal
Jelly Match 4 uses a grid-based board and a supply of block sets. Each set contains multiple jelly-like blocks. Your goal is to clear the board by forming horizontal or vertical lines of four identical blocks. When a line of four is complete, those blocks disappear. The game continues as long as you can place at least one of the three sets shown on the left side of the screen.
Placing and Rotating Sets
On the left side, three block sets are always visible. You click and drag a set onto the main board. Before placing it, you can click the set to rotate it. Rotation changes the shape's orientation, which matters when the board is crowded. You must find a spot where the set fits without overlapping existing blocks. If none of the three sets can be placed anywhere, the game ends immediately.
Planning Ahead and Keeping Space
The core challenge is spatial planning. Clearing a line of four frees up space, but only if you can place the set that creates the line. You need to think about where future sets might go. Filling the board too quickly leaves no room for upcoming shapes. Since you can see the next three sets, you can prepare for them. This turns each move into a small decision: clear now or save space for a better placement later.
Visual Style and Accessibility
The interface is bright and cheerful. Blocks look like colorful jelly, which makes the board easy to read. The drag-and-drop controls are simple, and rotation is a single click. There are no complex rules or timers mentioned, so the pace is set by the player. The game is designed for all ages and aims to be relaxing while still requiring thought.
